Mystic Mondays – Colorful, Bold, Minimalist
If you’re a fan of a deck created using a more graphical technique, Mystic Mondays is perfect for you.
Although I’m a huge fan of the DruidCraft and Robin Wood Tarot decks, Mystic Mondays is becoming my everyday Tarot journal go-to deck.
It’s colorful, bold (a must for me), and presents a modern take on traditional Tarot cards. The colors are vibrant, the imagery clean, and the deck a joy to use.
Created by Grace Duong – you can find her on Instagram at @mysticmondays – the deck is a nice size to handle, with cards printed on durable card stock. By the way, Grace has a new deck coming out October 6, The Crystal Grid Deck: An 80-Card Deck to Charge Your Intentions. The cards are hexagonal so you can fit them together to create your own crystal grid. How cool is that.
But, let’s get back to Mystic Mondays and one of my favorite deck interviews.
Mystic Mondays Interview
- What can I learn from using this deck? (3 of Cups)
- What topic does the deck prefer working with? (3 of Pentacles)
- What is your strength as a deck? (Empress)
- What personal message do you have for me? (King of Swords)
Isn’t is cool that I drew two of the 3’s – cards of happiness. One is about celebration (my lesson from using this deck!) and one is about building in conjunction with others (the topic Mystic Mondays prefers working with).
I love that the deck’s strength is the Empress. Doesn’t she look beautiful and even better, do you know that she will find beauty in you and what you do, and then she will support you until the end of time.
As for a personal message for me (be sure to draw one for you too!) the King of Swords wanted to appear. He’s responsible, mature, loves working within a well-defined structure – my kind of guy. I think he’s just reminding me to use that Empress energy to create an effective structure and then get to work!
This particular deck interview really hit home with me. I am a team player – when I need help I don’t hesitate to reach out and ask for feedback or advice from people who know more than I do.
Also, every day when I work with the deck, there is a 3 of Cups energy as the imagery and colors are so uplifting for me.
If you’re looking for other deck interviews, I’m just beginning to collect them here.
By the way, the two links to Amazon are affiliate links (I hardly ever use them, so apologies if they offend you!). I think they might net me $0.30. Why do I even do it? Good question, one I think I’ll ask the cards about!
