How Do I Choose?

I have two book proposals that I want to do, both Tarot-related. They’re slightly similar, but not enough to combine into a singular project.

To help me decide which project to focus on I did a two-row, six-card spread. The top row represents Project 1, the bottom row is Project 2.

What do you think?

For me, Project 1 would be a great choice were it not for the Devil card (Major Arcana XV). That tells me there is something about that project that is alluring to me, but not in a healthy way. Would you agree or disagree?

Project 2 also looks great. The Queen of Wands has always been the most psychic of the Queens (at least for me) because she is the significator for my good friend, Jessica Macbeth. And if you’ve ever read any of Jessica’s books (she authored the popular Faeries’ Oracle) you’ll know how psychic she is!

But then I look at the 3 of Wands. In any other deck this card would be off-putting. There’s nothing inherently ‘wrong’ with the card, it’s just not one I’m that fond of.

However, in this deck (Sawyer’s Path) I love the flames at the base of the wands. It’s exciting and tells me  I can be the creator of something truly unique. Of course, seeing the 10 of Pentacles was a biggie because it’s the card of family and the card of legacy. And if you know me, I’m all about family and legacy.

Using Tarot for questions like this is (for me) what the cards are really good for. Thank you!
